Alumni Came to Visit Us!

We had so much fun despite the heat! Thank you Linda Caton for letting us be inside!! Our kids miss the visitors in the summer and are looking forward to the cooler weather and being in the grass by the new Administration Building!
We had several Rover's Alumni stop by: Marley who we didn't recognize, she was voted most changed! Buddy was voted most inquisitive! And Mr. Peabody was voted as the most happy to see everyone and play!

Looks a little sparse this month, everyone must be really busy. The kids enjoyed their time with the Volunteers and had lots of treats and learned some tricks! Those in attendance had a wonderful visit and the kids love their outings.

What a great day the kids had! Thank you so very much Rover's Cowgirls - without volunteers the kids could not be here! The kids love you all! We had some of our best friends come to visit us! Carly was a very good girl, Alex had a new "do" and looked very good, Tommy Jr was as handsome as ever and such a good boy, Jack Sparrow was looking healthy, spiffy and spry! What a nice visit and two of the kids found the most wonderful of homes! Can you guess which ones !?! Thank you all for loving these great kids!

Thank you kids for dragging your moms and dads out to come to see us! Your friends greeted you with lots of kisses and everyone enjoyed seeing you all bounce around with glee! Darn that old weatherman anyway, it looks like we will be back inside the dance room as it is soooo cold and windy today and even a sprinkle of rain! We had to wear sweaters!!

Thank you Judy and Sandi for inviting Rover's Kids for another fun event! They had so much fun they fell asleep standing up when we got home! and every year we are more amazed at the different costumes the other kids come in - let alone their humans!!
A very special thank you to Daryl Nickelson Photography (480-662-7971) - he put the smiles in the photos! What wonderful photos that highlighted each and every kid, costume, family, and all the fun we had!
Rover's Kids want to thank the Rover's Volunteers Nancy and Carol that not only handled the kids but helped with keeping the line moving for photos! Rover's could not find wonderful homes for these kids if we did not have wonderful volunteers!
Rover's wants to give a special hug around the neck to all the adopted kids that came by to say hello and cheer us on! Adam, Snowy, Rosie, Max and Aspen

Cottonwood Palo Verde's Summer Shopping Fest

Thank you Linda and Melissa for having such a wonderful event! We had a lot of fun, met lots of nice people and saw beautiful products! Everyone wanted to know where all the kids were though...
Rover's Volunteer Carol helped to set up the night before, Volunteer Nancy stood on aching feet and did a wonderful job presenting Rovers Rest Stop and selling our Raffle tickets and a few of our totes! Thank you Angie for the totes and aprons! Volunteer Sherrian donated Mary Kay products for the Raffle basket and had a booth of her own as well! Volunteer Jody was very busy at her booth providing computer information for all!
There was so much to see and the food was super good too! Again, thank you!!!

We will be in the dance room again on September 12, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We sure hope to see you there!

We could not have ordered better weather!! There were lots of people that just stopped to say hi to the kids as they were garage sale hopping and the kids loved it. We had some of our extended family visit - there was Adam, Casper and Lillie, Barney, Benny, Annie, Brody and Miles, Mia (who didn't want her photo taken) - oh my!! All the volunteers love to see how great the kids are doing and it makes my heart sing to know they are loved and happy! Thank you for taking the time to stop and say hi!
We had kittie company too - Hope for Cats was excited to join us and Kris had two kitties that were adopted right away! A volunteer brought another kittie and that one found a home too! What a successful day for them!
We thank each and every one that attended our event - thank you! Watch our calendar for the next event!

February 28, 2015 - WINDY AND COLD!!!!
Linda did a rain dance for us, Melissa wished for sun, but we forgot to ask for calm, warm, and sunny!!
THANK YOU Linda for allowing the kids to enjoy the day.
The weather did not keep everyone from coming out to see the kids! The kids really enjoyed it, after all they
had fur coats on!
They were a hit in their beautiful vests made by Nancy - she loves the kids!
Thank you Kathy and Peggy - volunteers from the Women's Exchange group!
We had 10 (TEN!) adopted kids and/or families come to visit and say hello - even in the cold wind!!
This shows you what a wonderful Rover's family we have! We thank you!
Herman and Toby - the Doxie boys, they were a handful when they were puppies!
Barney - graced us with a visit at Sunflower and again here - his mom made him a special sweater!
Brody - Maltese boy with his new mom who loves him as does Miles, his brother.
Ruby - Japanese Chin that is the sweetest girl that has a wonderful mom.
Annie - a most beautiful loved Bichon that is a hit everywhere she goes with loving parents.
Alex - Cocker of the Year - perfect and very much loved - still working on the weight but he looks good!
Billy Bob - Silky boy is always a hit and his mom loves him and takes him everywhere!
Wiggles - Maltese cutie boy that got his name rightly.. and he loves Alaska!!
BeBe and CiCi's parents dropped by, they always like to see all the kids,
Dexter and Izzy's mom and dad stopped by, was too cold for the little kids.
We had Hope for Cats join us, a little too windy for the kitties but a couple of visitors were interested in a new friend!

I was so excited to see sooo many of the kids - a record breaking event! Alex the Cocker with his foster flunkie Mom and Grandmom - he looks very good after dropping so much weight! See his before and afters! (Go to Rover's Raves tab) Missy and her new brother Marty - they drove all the way from north Scottsdale! what a handsome pair they make! We voted Barney the most changed since adopted - he is so handsome now! The most fun loving is Tinker Bell aka Lil' Girl and she is so smart according to Mom and Dad! She looks like Barney did when he arrived so we shall see... And Skipper Doo who is now lovingly called Benny is such a happy and loving boy, other than the one time he jumped in the lake to catch the ducks.....
WOW - DID YOU SEE OUR NEW VESTS!!! NANCY, YOU DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB, THEY FIT PERFECTLY! NOW ALL THE KIDS CAN LOOK ALIKE! Rover's Rest Stop has the very best outstanding volunteers that absolutely love the kids!!!

We had fun 'shopping' inside Sunflower with our noses! Lots and lots of goodies in there!! We like this store better than the other one Beth!
PROUD NEW PARENTS OF ABBIE came by to pick up all the things needed to keep her happy, healthy and clean! We miss you Abbie!!

ROVER'S VOLUNTEERS! Nancy, Darlene, Sherry, Sherrian, Jody, and Angie of Angie's Projects - we could not have had such a wonderful day without you!! The kids really love to be out walking around and not put in a pen, without your help that would not happen. I believe that everyone was able to see what well behaved kids we have and what a wonderful addition they would be to their family!
A SUPER HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL MY ADOPTER FAMILIES! It makes my heart sing to see my kids and how well loved they are and how happy and healthy they are!! There were a couple that need to watch those treats and take off a couple pounds but overall everyone looked great! If I miss someone let me know, it was such a busy day! We always have fun! A huge thank you to Volunteers Nancy, Sherry, Debra and Dina - the kids could not do this alone! I was so happy that the visitors included some of my kids! Dexter and Izzy were the first ones there and I got kisses! Sammy is such a sweet boy and he looks really good and in shape, he had a wonderful summer. Oscar was the happy puppy he always is and very well loved. Hunter was strutting his happy self as usual. Carly was perfectly coiffed - I am jealous! The kids were so happy to have so many making over them... it does go to their heads... The beautiful weather was enjoyed by all and we made some new friends and had a wonderful visit with some old friends.
Rover's Kids look forward to seeing you again next year!!

We always have fun! A huge thank you to Volunteers Nancy, Sherry, Debra and Dina - the kids could not do this alone! I was so happy that the visitors included some of my kids! Dexter and Izzy were the first ones there and I got kisses! Sammy is such a sweet boy and he looks really good and in shape, he had a wonderful summer. Oscar was the happy puppy he always is and very well loved. Hunter was strutting his happy self as usual. Carly was perfectly coiffed - I am jealous! The kids were so happy to have so many making over them... it does go to their heads... The beautiful weather was enjoyed by all and we made some new friends and had a wonderful visit with some old friends.
Rover's Kids look forward to seeing you again next year!!

What a super great time we had! There were doggies galore in costumes extraordinaire! and some of them brought their people all dressed up too!! Thank you so much Judy and Sandi for including Rover's Kids again this year - they LOVE to socialize!!
Our special photographer is our very own Berni's dad Kevin and she brought her mom Doris this year too!

Rover's at Bonnie's Barkery

We had a drive up north to see our friends out that way. Bonnie's is a very nice store with lots and lots of goodies, the kids had their noses going and had a hard time picking out a treat! We had lots of nice people stop and say hello and visit with the kids. The weather was sunny and got a little on the warm side for the kids. We had Sarge and Jack's mom and sister come by - we thank them for hanging some flyers to let everyone know we were there! The kids slept the whole way home so I know they had a good time!

Rover's Fourth Annual Sun Lakes Spring Fling

We had a wonderful turnout to visit with Rover's kids! It was a beautiful day and we had a raffle of a basket, refreshments, an artist, and the launch of our Apron Project with a drawing for a free apron. We had many many applications and some of our kids found wonderful homes. Lee and I can't thank our volunteers enough - they watch over these kids at the events like angels. Thank you Linda too for the opportunity! See our new vests - Brenda made them for us! There were so many of Rover's kids that came back to visit us: Billy Bob, Carly,Toby and Herman, Wiggles, Sadie, and a couple of the moms and dads without the kids - Mark looked lonely without BeBe and CiCi running the show, Shirley our resident artist took time out from the Art Fair so she didn't have Barney with her, and Sandra and Patrick without Casper shared some refreshments - I hope he won his card game he kept getting up from! I hope I didn't miss mentioning anyone because it really does mean a lot for Lee and I to see our kids and how happy they are with their families!
Thank you for loving these wonderful kids! and making this another wonderful year!

The weather is getting warm and we will not be able to do the outside Farmer's Market much longer. We do enjoy your stopping by to see us! Last week we had Daisy drop in, she was such a wonderful girl at Rover's and now her new family says she is even better!

We had many visitors to see the kids! We also had many already adopted kids drop in to say hello! We LOVE that!! Billy Bob, Linzie, Oscar, Scruffy, and more. The raffle basket winner's dog "Blue" is very interested in the basket! We had refreshments and a good time for all!
